I have gotten to the point where I am ready to decide whether I want to cut the horizontal pieces out of the vertical or vice versa. I am going to try them both ways to see which way the pieces would better fit together. I was struggling when I created the thickness for each surface so that it would exactly replicate the chipboard. I was able to extrude the surface to 1/16", but then when I capped it to close the surface, it also closed any holes that were going through the surface. I was able to do the boolean difference to get rid of the inner circles but is there another way to do this so that the inner holes do not become capped as well?
