Competition Board

This is my competition board as of now. I still need to go back and add people and trees and a sky to my renderings.  I was also thinking about putting the bottom two renderings in the competition board.  I think the interior view allows people to understand what it feels like to be inside the building.  The skin is actually quite permeable, which allows for light to come in even if you cannot see out.

A04 Progress

In the beginning of my process, I was placing an undulating screen on the surface of the building.  I did some renderings to see how different types of materials would look.  The next step in my process, I split the facade into three horizontal zones.  I then manipulated the base surface in order to create openings in those zones.  This will allow for light to get into these spaces and also denotes where the entrance to the building will be.  I worked on the structure by using the curved lines and dividing them even and connecting those divisions.  However, not all of the poles went through the centers of each geometry.  Also, I was unable to print this using the 3D printer because none of the geometries are connected and I think the geometry is too complicated to be understood by the 3D printer.
