Since this building is predicted to be the new museum of science fiction, I want the design for my facade to be somewhat futuristic looking to reflect what types of exhibits could be occurring inside. I do not know much about science fiction, so I researched what it meant and it ranges anywhere from futuristic science and technology to space and time travel to extraterrestrial light. Hopefully I will be able to bring some of those concepts and reflect them in the design of the facade. In the render, I was just experimenting with a material I already had. However, I was thinking of using some type of reflective, metallic material that has a more futuristic feel.

Progress
This is some of the progress I've made on the next grasshopper assignment along with some of the new lessons we learned in class today. Essentially we are doing the same thing we did with the paneling tools in Rhino, but grasshopper allows us to replicate and diversify our designs with certain controlled parameters.

Grasshopper Basic Geometries
In this exercise, we experimented with the commands in Grasshopper to create primitive shapes in order to understand the basics of the program. It is a different language of computer based design because I am more on the outside parameters of my design, instead of being directly in the interface. I am manipulating the geometries through the exterior, and I can see how using this program could allow for great variations in a design.
