A02
From this assignment, I learned a lot about the different techniques that I can use in Rhino in order to manipulate my drawings to show specific ideas. I learned about the use of the contour tool and how this could possibly be effective when taking a section in building design. The waffling technique also showed a different way in which I can now make my 3-D models. I also finally learned how to use the laser cutter. I am excited to have this skill and I know it will only help further my ability to present my design ideas. The only issue I had with this assignment was the actual making of the model. It was hard for many of the pieces to stay together because the notches were possibly too wide. If I were to redo this assignment, I would take into account how the pieces would need to fit together tightly, and therefore make the notches slightly skinnier. Also, I would possibly make notches on both the horizontal and vertical slabs so that the pieces would fit together like a puzzle.
